Got a drug test tomorrow morning at 9am for my new job. Luckily for me its been 2 weeks since i shared a joint with my brother and i have passed a take home test that I bought at the drug store. Still, I am worrying a bit since I wont get the job if i test positive.
Normally I would avoid places that pee test but i need the money because its been 6 weeks since my last paycheck.

Went to school for computer science......worked for 4 years at a computer company running their server room....so that I could still be looking for a job and finding one.....as a car salesman.
It's only 2 miles from my place and it seems like good money so i am giving it a try. I sold a car on my first day...go me.
so ya..I am a friendly car salesman at your local ford dealer now.

Watching the Red Sox / Yankees game today and during the pregame ceremony the Sox were given their world series rings.
I never thought I would see this day and I know many older people who thought they would not see this in their lifetimes.

My roommate Craig hopped on a plane last night on his way to spend 6 months in Ireland for work.
It is part of an exchange program at the company where i used to work to give their employees international experience.
Part of me feels bad for him because he is not getting any kind of pay adjustment for the dollar/euro exchange rate, but part of me is insanely jealous that he gets to go. I guess I really miss being over there. I miss how simplified life was without a car and being 3000 miles away from all your worries. I miss the social scene and the outgoing personalities of the people there. I am going to start looking at flights so I can go back over there, hopefully my new job will be understanding when I tell them I will need a week off in June or July to go to Ireland. If not I will just have to quit there and spend 2-3 weeks in Ireland instead :) |

I can't seem to pull myself away from the TV whenever anything regarding the pope appears.
Maybe it's the fact that he's been around and on TV for my entire life and it's weird seeing him gone.
Maybe it's because he has been through such a public decline in health over the last couple years.
One thing that does fascinate me is how he is dealing with his own mortality. The priests that appear
on the news stations talk about his personal interest in the mystery of death.
I wonder about how I will end up dealing with it when the day comes. Will I be as serene and
accepting? Will I have thousands of people outside my window gathering?
Hopefully my funeral will be the party of the year.....lol |
